Performance
The new Subaru Outback comes standard with a 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® 4-cylinder engine, while XT models come equipped with a 2.4-liter, 260-horsepower direct-injection turbocharged SUBARU BOXER® 4-cylinder engine. Both engines can achieve impressive acceleration, but Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Hill Descent Control (HDC) keep the Outback safe and stable.

- Standard X-MODE®, which optimizes engine output for improved traction on slippery surfaces and tough terrain
Design

All trims come standard with raised roof rails, reclining 60/40-split flat-folding rear seatbacks, and cargo-area underfloor storage.
