If you want a more powerful engine, the 3.6R Limited trim level comes with a 3.6-liter DOHC aluminum-alloy 24-valve horizontally opposed 6-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine with dual active valve control system that's good for 256 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque! Both vehicles have features like symmetrical all-wheel drive, vehicle dynamics control, traction control system, active torque vectoring, and incline start assist; these help keep you in control, even if the weather or roads are bad. However, the Outback adds a few extra features: 8.7" of ground clearance and X-Mode, a traction assist system with hill descent control. These extra features make the Outback perfectly suited to all kinds of off-road exploration.
